Cadets and adult volunteers from 378 (Mannock) Squadron Air Training Corps recently enjoyed an action packed end-of-year camp at the Overstone Scout Camp in Northamptonshire.
The camp, which is an annual tradition, was an opportunity for the cadets to get stuck-in with some adventurous activities and bond as a team.
Activities over the weekend included archery, indoor climbing, camp fire lighting and orienteering. With more than 30 members of the Squadron taking part, the camp was considered a great success and even included a full Christmas dinner on the Saturday evening.
The Squadron’s Officer in Charge, Flying Officer Phil Warr said: “The cadets and staff have enjoyed yet another fun packed Squadron camp. My thanks go out to all the volunteer staff, in particular Flight Sergeant Michelle Coles, who was our chef for the weekend, for producing a wonderful Christmas meal, and Warrant Officer Alan Wiggs, who’s planning and management made the camp possible.”
The Squadron are now looking forward to planning their Christmas camp for 2017.
